Doing everything yourself keeps all the money per job but caps how much you can take on. Subcontracting lets you say yes to more work and earn on someone else's hours, as long as your price leaves enough margin to pay them and still profit.

Before you hand off work, make sure your rate covers the sub's pay and still leaves you a margin for finding the job, managing it, and standing behind it. If the numbers only work when you do it all yourself, your prices are too low to grow on.
